Spain, the second most represented nation in the IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais
Last year, more than 400 Spanish triathletes participated
The test that is disputed next September 29 has published the percentage of registered by country, where Spain occupies the second position.
The first country with the most number of entries in the test is the United Kingdom with an 17%, followed by Spain with an 12% and by Portugal with an 11%.
This 2019 will be held the third edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais where I know hopes to break all records reaching the 3.000 enrolled. Last year More than 400 Spanish triathletes participated, becoming the test with more presence outside our country.
It is 3,5% above the average global satisfaction of the IRONMAN tests
The IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais is part of the world circuit since the year 2017, with two consecutive full. Due to the quality of the event, this year the competition has obtained the award for "Satisfied Athlete" carried out by an internal IRONMAN survey, where it ranks 3,5% above the global average satisfaction. Also in terms of career recommendation other participants also exceeds global statistics by an 10%.
The tours the most praised points
The aspects most praised by the participants were the tours, the conditions of road safety, refreshment stations in competition and the gifts to the athletes. The Exhibitors associates of the event and the beauty of Cascais, the host village, were also presented arguments.
In 2018 record only one 4% of dropouts, which is also below the world average.
The "King and Queen of the Mountain" award
As the last edition has already started, the first to crown the section between the Mula River dam and Quinta do Pisão, between km 68.67 and 74.55 will receive the award of King and Queen of the mountain.
Fernando Alarza the only Spanish winner in the test
The test is wanted by many Spaniards where last year Fernando Alarza got the victory and the slot for him Ironman World Championship 70.3 that will be held in Nice next September.
