Frederik Van Lierde wins his fifth victory at the Ironman in Nice
The Belgian has equaled Marcel Zamora as the top winners of the test (both with five) getting the victory in the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2018
El Ironman from Nice is one of the oldest and most important triathlons in the world as we define in an article, one of the "5 triathlon monuments". The test was born in 1982 and until 2004 was a long distance triathlon, distance C (4 + 120 + 30), and among its winners stand out Mark Allen with 10 wins and Paula Newby-Fraser with 4.
Nice is test of the Ironman circuit with more triumphs of Spanish triathletes (in the male category) thanks mainly to the 5 victories Marcel Zamora and the one Víctor del Corral of 2016. The Catalans also have their triumphs with two more podiums each and another Spaniard who got a podium was Clemente Alonso
In the test we counted on the presence of Eneko Llanos, Víctor del Corral y Albert Moreno
