Gurutze Frades sixth and Albert Moreno eighth in the Ironman 70.3 Aix

The two Spaniards finish in the TOP 10 of the race where Gurutze has achieved the best partial race on foot.

 Today a new edition of the medium distance test has been held in the French town of Aix de Provence Ironman 70.3 Aix where two Spaniards were on the starting line. The competition began at the 7: 30 with the 1.900m swimming in Lake Peyrolles (at 20km from Aix). Later, the triathletes faced the 90km in a single turn through a broken terrain to finish with the 21km of running, three laps of 7km to a hard circuit with 130m of unevenness in each turn through the park of the Torse.

Gurtuze Frades that took the exit with the objective of adding points for the KPR, with the objective of looking for the point of form for one of its objectives the Ironman of Brazil has achieved the sixth final place thanks to getting the best time in the 21 km of race with 1:19:45. The victory of the test has been for the Swiss Emma Bilham in a time of 4: 29: 36, followed by the Polish Maria Czesnik (4: 31: 40) and by the British Natlie Seymour (4: 34: 03) occupying the third position of the drawer.

Regarding the men's competition Albert Moreno , reappeared in competition after an 2016 marked by injuries, has finished in a great eighth position. The victory has been for the French Beltrand Billard (3: 55: 18) in an agonized sprint with his compatriot Denis Chevrot (3: 44: 19). The third final position was for the Belgian Frederic Van Lierde (3: 59: 39)
