Albert Comas, the only Spanish 5 times Finisher in Kona

Albert Comas is the only Spanish 5 times Finisher in Kona 2003,2005,2007,2010 and 2013

A few days ago we published an article in our special Kona 2015 about two Spaniards who were going to beat 2 rrecords of participation in Hawaii within the GGEE.

One of them is Jordi Matos with their 3 Konas in 3 consecutive years ... and the other Guillermo Lladó who we thought would be the first Spanish finisher 5 times in "Mecca". But we had an error, thanks to the internet and social networks Albert Comas he wrote us a comment telling us that he has already been 5 times finisher so Guillermo this year would equal him.

At the time of making the article we were comparing information from the official website reviewing classifications from previous years, we also consulted several veteran triathletes. In 3, Albert participates in Hawaii and appears with the nationality of the United States, since at times when signing up, Ironman takes the place where you register as a national and Albert has lived in Miami for many years and there was confusion time to contrast information.

We have been talking to Albert, the first Spanish and only (until next Saturday) who has been Finisher 5 times in Hawaii: 2003, 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2013. This year he tried to qualify for his 6º Hawaii ... but he had a bad day in Coeur d'Alene and could not get the Slot. He has announced that he is registered for the IM Texas 2016 with the intention of being in Hawaii next year.

In a few days we will publish an article about Albert Comas, so that readers of Triatlon Noticias can get to know him better.
