Ironman adds additional 500 slots to the Ironman 70.3 World Championship
In 20 races around the world, additional 25 Slot will be provided to the best triathletes of these Ironman 70.3 tests.
Women For Tri has announced the test list which will have the additional 25 slots that will provide a place to compete in the World Championship Ironman 70.3
Women For Tri is a program of the IRONMAN Foundation and has announced that a total of 500 women will receive an invitation to compete in the 70.3 IRONMAN 2019 World Championship which will take place in Nice, France, from the 7 to the 8 in September.
They will be granted to best female athletes in 20 selected races around the world.
"With the introduction of the two-day World Championship competition format, there is an opportunity for more high-performance female triathletes to earn a spot in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.", said Andrew Messick, President and CEO of IRONMAN. “Athletes representing the Women For Tri team will help keep the sport growing".
In the ceremony of these selected tests, Additional 25 Slots will be awarded to the following qualified women, proportional by age group.
The program is launched in France at IRONMAN 70.3 Nice on September 16.
