Ironman Nice 2017 confirmed

Although there were rumors that the test was going to be canceled due to the terrorist attack, the date of the race has been changed.

Ironman France Nice is one of the most important triathlons in Europe, and after the organization met after the terrorist attack they decided to hold the test on a new date, July 23, 2017

This is the official confirmation:

"We are happy to announce that registration is now open for the iconic IRONMAN France Nice that will take place on Sunday July 23, 2017.

After several meetings with local authorities, we are excited to announce that the 2017 race will have the same exceptional course as in previous years. The date change was the result of a one year moratorium on all events at this location, out of respect for the victims and families of the July 2016 attack.

Our ambition, as always, is to exceed all of your expectations and provide an extraordinary race experience. Swim in the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean Sea, cycle on a challenging, one-loop bike course between the coast and the mountain range, and finish your unforgettable day with a marathon on the Promenade des Anglais."
