Jan Frodeno sweeps the Ironman Austria. Eneko Llanos second

Today has been held one of the most important tests of the European Triathlon panorama Ironman of Austria, a test where the faster brands of history and where in the starting line we had to Ivan Raña, test winner in 2014 and Eneko Lanos third in 2006 in addition to 140 Spaniards in age groups

Jan Frodeno, came to the Ironman Austria with the intention of breaking the test record achieved by Marino Vanhoenacker in 2011 with a time of 7: 45: 58, which was also the best record in history in an Ironman event, although afterwards has been beaten several times and where Jan Frodeno has the best time with 7: 35: 39 achieved in Roth in 2016.

The first to complete the 3,8 km of swimming was the German Jan Frodeno with a time of 46:29 followed by Iván Raña at 1:55, Tim Brydenbach at 4:02, Antony Costes at 34:04 and by Eneko Llanos at 4:08 from the German.

In the first kilometers of cycling, we could see a very comfortable Frodeno on the bike that was increasing the difference with respect to all his pursuers going through km 23 with 5:31 on Antony Costes, 5:34 on Eneko Llanos, 6:08 on Paul Ruttmann and 6:21 on Iván Raña.

At kilometer 64,5, Jan Frodeno continued with a strong rhythm in the lead, followed by a group of 3 at 6:51 with Eneko Llanos, Paul Ruttmann and Antony Costes at 6:55, Iván raña fell below 10th place at more than 9 minutes of German.

After the halfway point of the cycling sector, Frodeno was still the leader of the test, followed by the group at 8:23 in the lead. At km 111, Frodeno's lead increased until 9:39, while Ruttmann fell behind, leaving Eneko Llanos and Antony Costes fighting for second place.

In the last 30 km of cycling, Frodeno continued to increase the advantage to reach T2 with a time of 05:09:12, ahead of Eneko Llanos and Antony Costes in 13:38. Iván Raña finished the cycling sector in 15th position with about 40 minutes behind the leader of the event.

Frodeno faced a marathon with a clear advantage where he would not have to have problems to maintain it, but from behind we could see a nice fight for the second place with Llanos y Costes.

Eneko Llanos was gradually taking advantage of his teammate during the Costes cycling sector to place himself in second position with 11 seconds of advantage at km 17.

In the passage through the half marathon Frodeno was still leading by completing the 21 km in 1: 19: 29 and passing with a race time of 6: 30: 40, where he was still with chances to get off 7: 50 in the finish line . Eneko stepped into 16: 19 minutes of the German leading in almost 3 minutes to Viktor Zyemtzev. In the step by the km 27 of race Eneko happened second to 15: 12 of Frodeno and increased the advantage on Zyemtzev to 3: 40.

Finally, the double Ironman World Champion Jan Frodeno He got the victory with a final time of 7:57:20 The German has invested 46:29 in the 3,8 km of swimming, 4:19:45 in the 180 km of cicslimo and 2:46:10 in the 42 km running

A large Eneko Llanos get the second place with a time of 8: 12: 43, improving his best position in this test, achieved in the 2006 with a third place. Viktor Zyemtsev (8: 17: 05) has completed the podium in third position. Ivan Raña ended in the 15º plaza.

Female test.

First out of the water was Michelle Vesterby in 53:52, followed by Michaela Herlbauer at 38 seconds and Bianca Steurer at 3:36. Once on the bike and in the passage of km 65 of the circuit, the Danish Michelle Vesterby was still in the lead with a lead of 2:26 over Steurer and 3:26 over Herlbauer.

As it passed through the equator of the cycling sector, Vesterby continued to increase the advantage to take 3:18 on Steurer and 4:44 on Herlbauer. The leader had a small fall at km 118 that helped Herlbauer to cut the gap and reach it at km 151. Corinne Abraham passed in third position at 6:36, followed by Eva Wutti, winner of the test in 2015 to 8 seconds.

Finally, Michelle Vesterby reached T2 with a time of 05:57:16 followed by position by Corinne Abraham at 5:25 and by Eva Wutti at 9:18, Austrian Herlbauer reached T2 with 20 minutes over the leader of the test (we don't know what happened).

In the race Eva Wutti, was climbing time on Corinne passing in the 7,5 km to only 1: 20 from behind. Finally, he caught up with her in the 12 km race and went in search of the leader of the race,

As she passed through the half marathon, Eva Wutti took the lead in the race with 3 seconds ahead of Vesterby and 1:12 over Abraham, who was climbing positions to reach second place in the 24 km race. In the last 10 km of the race Eva Wutti was still leading, but with only 34 seconds ahead of Corinne Abraham who was second

 Finally Eva Wutti has achieved victory in a time of n 9:06:25 followed by Corinne Abraham (9: 08: 03) in second position. Michelle Verterby completed the podium in tere final position
