Jan Frodeno has achieved this year the Ironman World Championship 70.3, European Championship IRONMAN and IRONMAN World Championship in addition to being Olympic champion in 2008.

At 18:26 in the afternoon (Spanish time) there was the start for the men's elite event where the best triathletes in the world in the distance fought to get the world title. Eneko Llanos, Iván Raña, Miquel Blanchart and Clemente Alonso were our assets for the test,

Right from the start, Frodeno showed his good form, starting second behind Dylan McNeicey. Andy Potts was the third out. As for the Spaniards, Iván Raña was 13 at 1:40, Clemente Alonso 25 at 1:49, Eneko Llanos 28 at 1:52 and Miquel Blanchart 33 at 1:56.

The German was the fastest in the transition starting first on the bike leaving alone with Potts trying to set a strong pace. Last year's winner Sebastian Kienle caught up with them in a few kilometers with a third in the lead. On km 45, 13 triathletes were grouped where the favorites were, counting on an Eneko Llanos who performed a spectacular cycling segment.

Finally the power of Frodeno served him to distance himself from his pursuers in the last kilometers and reach T2 with 30 '' ahead of Timothy O'Donnell, 55 '' over Sebastian Kienle and 1:39 over Eneko Llanos who entered a great fourth position. Iván Raña arrived at 20 minutes and Miquel Blanchart at 29.Clemente Alonso, who has been suffering from an illness all week, took its toll on the race and was forced to retire in T2.

According to statements by Clemente Alonso on his Twitter “I thought I could defend myself today, but since the weekend I was on a fever, I've been cold all week. Today without strength and swimming"

Already in the race on foot, the German set a strong rhythm in the first kilometers to gradually distance himself until he reached a 2-minute lead over kilometer 5 of the race. From there, the advantage over their pursuers was maintained where they kept Timothy O'Donnell in podium positions followed by Sebastian Kienle.

A spectacular Andreas Raelert was climbing positions until reaching Sebastian Kienle on the 20 kilometer. From there with the fastest pace of the test was cutting distance in search of second place on the podium.

In the head Jan Frodeno He seemed to accuse the effort from the half marathon where he lost time with his pursuers, but finally recovered by increasing the pace and again increasing the advantage to reach the goal alone and proclaim World Champion IRONMAN 2015 with a final time of 8: 14: 40

Behind Raelert was cutting distance on Timothy O'Donnell  until in the last kilometers he caught up with the North American, leaving alone to arrive second and get the World runner-up followed by Timothy O'Donnell in 3rd position. Andy Pottss was finally fourth equaling last year's position
