Duel Jan Frodeno - Iván Raña - Frederik Van Lierde at the Ironman 70.3 Barcelona

The Spanish triathlete has confirmed his participation in the race

 The Galician ITU world champion in 2002 and several times classified for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Ivan Raña, has confirmed its participation in the Ironman 70.3 from Barcelona which will be played next 21 of May.

The Galician will be on the starting line next to an impressive line-up of professional athletes featuring two Ironman World Champions such as the German Jan Frodeno and the Belgian Frederik Van Lierde or the current champion of the Swedish test Patrick Nilsson among other international stars.

With this participation Jan Frodeno and Iván Raña they come back to face each other in our country since last year both participated in the Ironman of Lanzarote where the German finished in second position and Ivan in fifth position. Miquel Blanchart who also participated in the race was seventh.

Ivan Raña has told the organization “It is a magnificent opportunity to compete at home, the bike course is spectacular and the level of rivals such as Frodeno or Van Lierde. With all these ingredients my motivation to run in this test is total"

For this edition the presence of 2.500 triathletes in the test is expected
