La Triple Crown it has only been achieved by the Swiss Daniela Ryf in 2015, taking victory in the Challenge Dubai, the World Championship 70.3 and the Ironman 70.3 in Bahrain. The prize for this triple win is 1 Million dollars.
The ferrolane Javier Gomez Noya will seek to emulate Daniela Ryf and be the first "man of the million dollars" of the triathlon.
Javier Gómez Noya won in the Dubai Ironman 70.3 in the last month of January. Later he won the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Chattanooga and only the 70.3 of Bahrain, where is the main favorite.
