More than 4.000 triathletes will compete in the event where Spain has 57 triathletes.

This next weekend the 12 edition of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship will be held, where there will be 4.500 triathletes from different 90 nationalities.

The American city of Chattanooga in the state of Tennessee will be the world epicenter of triathlon the next 9 and 10 September, with the celebration of the reign of middle distance, the Ironman World Championship 70.3. Finally the test will end with 21,1km of running race around the Tennessee River.

In total there are 1.713 registered and the main favorites are the British Holly Lawrance defending title and the switzerland Daniela Ryf, current champion of the Ironman world. The other candidates for the podium are the Australians Annabel Luxford and Melissa Hauschildt, the German Laura Philipp, the South African Jeanni Seymour and the British Emma Pallant.
