Judith Corachan eighth in the Ironman 70.3 of Bahrain

Miquel Blanchart finished in 13º place. Terenzo Bozzone and Sara Crowley win the test

The New Zealander who came down from 8h at the Busselton IM in Australia last week has managed to win the Bahrain 70.3 with authority. For her part, the Australian Crowley has won in Bahrain thanks to her great partial on foot.

Local Eric Watson was the first to cover the long 1900m swim with a time of 24:58 but without breaking the group, since the rest of the favorites followed him, Michael Raelert, Steffen Justus, Terenzo Bozzone and Sam Appleton. For his part, Miquel Blanchar came out of the water 1'30” behind the leader in 14th position.

From the first meters of the bike Bozzone broke the race and left alone, arriving at the T2 with more than 4 'advantage over the second placed, Sam Appleton and 5' over Steffen Justus. The partial of Bozzone was superior to the 45 km / h coming down from the 2h in the 90km of cycling.

In the running race Bozzone he dedicated himself to managing the advantage and took the victory with a 54” advantage over the German Justus who had made the best time in the half marathon. He closed the podium Sam Appleton. For its part Miquel Blanchart He finished in the 13ª position after climbing several positions in the race on foot.

As regards the women's race Caroline Steffen was the first to complete the 1900m swim with a time of 28: 54, after her a little more than a minute it was Maria Czesnik, Natalie Seymor and in this group she was also Judith Corachan, who arrived at the T1 at 5ª position. Helena Herrero was 17ª in the T1 to 4 'of Corachan.
