If we asked the triathletes competing next weekend at the IM World Cup in Hawaii, whether it be any age group or the very Jan Frodeno and Sebastian Kienle sure that almost everyone would answer us "Be like Lew Hollander".

Lew Hollander is a triathlete from the United States who will try to proclaim himself as the first world champion in the 11-85 category the next day. Ironman debuts this category in the Kona World Championship in this 89.

Lew Hollander has 84 years (meets 85 at the end of the year) and is the oldest veteran triathlete to qualify for Hawaii. Last year he had to retire in the marathon after seeing that he did not have time to be finisher in less than 17 hs, it was his first DNF ... in 15 participations in "Mecca".

In statements extracted to the Argentine portal triamax.com Lew commented: "I went home and sat watching the sea. I took a couple of glasses of wine and called my girlfriend. I said, my dear, in three weeks I'll be running the Florida Ironman"
