In the following articles we show you as a curiosity which are the five fastest times in history in the cycling segment of an Ironman distance test, both in male and female category.

Before talking about "brands" or "records" we must emphasize that in triathlon the distances are not homologated so it is not correct to say that "a record has been broken" of the world. We wanted to make this article as a curiosity because we know that it is to the liking of many of our readers.

In the male category it is almost a monopoly of the American Andrew Starykowicz who has the four best brands.

His best time was achieved this year in the IM of Texas, down for the first time in 4 hours, achieving a time of 3: 54: 59, at almost 46 km / h. The only triathlete who manages to sneak into this 5 top with Andrew is the Canadian Lionel Sanders, with the fifth best time, 4: 04: 38 achieved in IM Arizona 2016.

In women Melissa Hauschildt 4: 29: 55, at an average over 40 km / h has the best mark, also achieved at the Texas Ironman this year. It is the only one that has broken the bar of the 4h30min. As you can see, in this category there are 5 different triathletes in the top5.
