Less than 100 days for Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote

Today more than 1.500 triathletes will participate in the test

Exactly 93 days remain for the dispute of the 27º edition of one of the most important tests of the international long distance calendar, the Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote which will be held on May 26.

The swimming tour takes place in Playa Grande, in Puerto del Carmen, the main tourist center of the island. The test consists of two rounds, separated by a small foot path on the beach before starting the second round.

The route of the bicycle, true challenge for athletes for their strong winds, takes the athlete across the island reaching a total height of 2.551 meters. The athletes will enjoy incredible views and will be assisted by volunteers throughout the journey.

Lastly, the course of the race consists of three laps and it runs along the promenade, Avenida de las Playas, in Puerto del Carmen. Under the intense sun of Lanzarote the runners will enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean while receiving the applause and the incredible support of thousands of spectators along the route.

The last edition was the highest quality in its history as it had the participation of 6 of winners of the test Jesse Thomas (2016) Tine Holst:  (2016)   Alessando Degasperi (2015) Diana Riesler  (2015) Romain Guillaume (2014) Lucy Gossage (2014), y Víctor del Corral (2012) 

Finally the victory was to Bart Aernouts y Lucy Charles they won the test, where the britcanica pulverized the record of the cycling sector leaving the time in 5: 23: 29. On the Spanish side Peru Alfaro it was fourth and Saleta Castro fifth, where she became the youngest PRO triathlete to be 5 finisher times with less than 30 years and she has also always finished in top7 positions.
