Miquel Blanchart third in the Ironman 70.3 Mallorca

A large sector of the race on foot has allowed him to come back to finish in the third final place. The victory has been for David McNamee and Laura Phillipp

Today one of the events with the most participation in the world of the Ironman franchise was held with 3.500 triathletes registered in the Ironman 70.3 Mallorca.

The first to get out of the water was Jesper Svenson followed closely by Carlos Lopez, Pieter Heemeryck and David McNamee to 14 seconds. Already on the bike the Andreas Dreitz was increased his advantage to reach the T2 in first position with an advantage of 1: 26 over David McNamee. Will Clarker was the third to leave the bike with more than 7 minutes disadvantage over the head of the race.

In the 21 km of the foot race the British David McNamee , athlete Skechers, was climbing positions to reach the head of the race and go solo to get the victory with a time of 3: 56: 49. In second place, Andreas Dreitz (3: 57: 50) Three times winner of this test came with 1 minute later, followed by Miquel Blanchart , a triathlete sponsored by Skechers, with a large sector of the race occupying the final third place (4:04:30). Joan Nadal has finished in seventh place with a time of 4: 11: 12

In the women's test the victory was for Laura Philipp in a time of 4: 21: 41 followed by Emma Pallant (4: 26: 51) and for Amelia Watkinson (4: 33: 03) occupying the third final position
