Patrick Lange starts season at IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam

Return to the 7 competition months later

The double world champion Patrick Lange, will start the 2019 season in the IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, which will be played this weekend.

Patrick Lange, who this year has as aim to get the double with the two IRONMAN World Championships. If he succeeds, he will equal the feat achieved by his compatriot Jan Frodeno, who got the double in 2015 by winning the two World Championships.

Patrick, is still not classified and would need to win or be second (since 2 qualifying slots are offered to be Asia-Pacific Championship).

This competition is his first contact and from now on he will focus on the full distance, with the aim of the Frankfurt IRONMAN where we will see a duel again Lange-Kienle-Frodeno. The German Jan Frodeno, debuted this 2019 in a Olympic triathlon in Germany, where he took the victory

Patrick participated in the Berlin marathon, the first marathon of his life, where he got a time of 1: 09: 37 the last 7 of April.

In the list of departure they will be Tim Don, recent winner of Half of Peñiscola  in Spain, Alexander Craig,  who will seek his third consecutive win the winner of the last two editions Timothy Reed, Terenzo Bozzone or the Spanish Eneko Elosegui among others.

In the female category, it stands out Holly Lawrence, Sara Crowley or the winner of last year Radka Kahlefdlt among others.

This year, the IRONMAN 70.3 from Nice, IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 is going to be a test of a great level, where we will see if everything continues like this with several world champions fighting for the title. See the Classified list.
