Patrick Nilsson drops out of the 8 hours at Ironman Barcelona. Miquel Blanchart 3º
The winner of the test has been the Swede Patrick Nilsson and the German Astrid Stienen
Today a new edition of the Ironman Barcelona where for the first time in Spain the 8 hours have been lowered in an Ironman test
Carlos Lopez was the first to get out of the water followed closely by Mark Oude and 10 seconds by a group 12 of Miquel Blanchart and Xavier Torrades.
In the cycling sector Johan Acmerman was the first to get off the bike followed by more than 38 seconds by Bas Diereden and Bennik Oude. Patrick Nilsson came in fourth position over 7 minutes and Miquel Blanchart 17 minutes behind the first.
In the race on foot a great comeback of Patrick Nilsson he got the victory with a time of 7: 55: 28 beating the record of the test, Second in coming has been the Russian Ivan Tutuik (8: 05: 22) followed by Miquel Blanchart (8:07:16)) who gets third place after a spectacular comeback in the marathon. He started running in 11th place and finished third.
