Pedro has won two Top 10 in Ironman in his debut as a professional

Pedro that this year debuted as PRO has achieved a sixth place in the IM LanzaroteIn addition 9º in the Ironman 70.3 Cascais and ends the season with a Top 10 in another Ironman, this time in Argentina. All these results point to a great 2019 for the Cartagena triathlete.
IM Mar del Plata has left different illustrious athletes shining in age groups.
The Puerto Rican Manuel Huerta, twice Olympic in London and Rio made his debut in the distance ironman and was the best of all age groups, taking the victory in 30-34 and achieving the 11ª place in the general. On the other hand, former French cyclist Laurent Jalabert, winner of the Vuelta a España in 1995 won in 50-54.
We must also mention the double of the Galindez family. The great Oscar Gálídez, world duathlon champion in 1995 and world runner-up of IM 70.3 in 2007, he swept 45-49 and his son Thomas did the same in 18-24. Both will be in Kona next year, equaling the feat of Josep and Marc Marín this year.
As regards the Spanish action, it is worth mentioning the carrerón de Miguel Largo, 2º of all the groups and 12º of the general overcoming with authority in 25-29. It also shone Oliver de la Fuente that was 2º in 40-44.
Finally, we must mention the great performance of the Spanish triathletes in Mar del Plata. There were three Spanish and the three have shined with their own light, achieving the best overall result of the year, with Spanish 3 top8 in the same age group. Mireia Masip It has been 3ª, Lara Melián 6ª and Mª Ángeles Sánchez 8ª in 30-34.
