Emilio Aguayo, Saleta Castro and Anna Noguera, the main Spanish tricks at the La Santa Ironman 70.3 Club in Lanzarote

This Saturday 6 is the seventh edition of the Santa Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote Club, the oldest Ironman 70.3 circuit in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. 

 El Club Santa, will receive next Saturday to the 660 participants enrolled in the VII Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote, almost doubling the figure of the previous edition. Spain contributes this year the largest participation with 195 participants. It is followed by Great Britain with 129, Germany with 66, Italy with 50, France with 48. A total of 39 countries.

Among the Spaniards, we must highlight the remarkable presence of Canarian triathletes who are competing in the Long Distance Canarian Cup, as the Lanzarote event is punctual. The classification at this time of the Canarian Cup is headed by the Italian Gabriele La Loggia (Disa HPS Triathlon), and the great Agnes Hernández (Real CN) 9 times finisher and who debuts this time in the IM 70.3 test.

The Ironman 70.3 from Lanzarote is the "queen" of the IM 70.3 circuit among the Spanish PROs, with three wins of Ivan Frog in 2012, Victor of the Pen The 2013 y Eneko Llanos in 2015.

Among the prominent female figures are the British this year Lucy Gossage winner of the Ironman Lanzarote 2018 celebrated in May, the Danish Camilla Pedersen, and the Spanish Saleta Castro, y Anna Noguera

In the masculine section Pieter Heemeryck, 5º in the world past of IM 70.3 of South Africa and winner in 2016 of the 70.3 of Lanzarote is the maximum favorite. They also aspire to the podium the German Nils Frommhold and the British Colin Norris. As regards the Spanish participation, Emilio Aguayo Second last year is the best trick to fight for the podium. He is also registered Albert Brown, 5º last year.

  

The race will start at 7.30 hours in the lagoon of Club La Santa Club with the start, first of the professionals and then the rest, to swim 1.900 meters. Then touch 90 km. of cycling on the roads of Lanzarote closed to traffic, and finally the 21 km. of running race, from the Hotel until past the town of La Santa

The edition of Club La Santa Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote 2018 will also be the first without Kenneth Gasque as a race director and will take over from Favio Cabrera. We are sure that the test will continue with the same essence and successes as always.
