This Saturday is Ironman of Malaysia, one of the toughest of the franchise due to high temperatures and high humidity.

Saleta Castro search get a significant sum of points in Malaysia from each to take a step further to be in Kona 2018. Recall that this will be the second competition of Saleta on his way to Hawaii, after being 5 in the past Ironman 70.3 by Cascais. In the male category there will be two Spanish representatives, Carlos Aznar y Eneko Elosegi.

The race is held on the island of Langkavi, with a swim 2 returns to a circuit of 1,9km in a waters of the Andaman Sea, then 180 practically level km where the triathletes will tour the island on a circuit to 2 laps. Finally the 42,2 km will be a real hell, two laps of 21 km with much of the route around the airport where surely there will be no public so the race will still be harder. Last year Marcel Zamora he managed to finish his 25º Ironman in Malaysia with a brilliant 6ª square and in the interview that we did he classified this competition as one of the hardest he had ever run "because of its extreme weather"

In male category the Swedish Fredrik Croneborg is the main favorite, next to the French Romain Guillaume, the Danish Jens Petersen-Bach and the German Christin Kramer. Carlos Aznar with the 8 number and Eneko Elosegi with the 14 will be the Spanish PROs on the starting line.
