Saleta Castro qualified for Kona

It is the fourth Spanish along with Guruzte Frades, Eneko Llanos and Iván Raña.

 

Yesterday, Monday, August 22, the Ironman organization published the final lists of the triathletes classified for the Ironman World Championship from Hawaii. In total there are 40 women and 52 men. Saleta Castro se a unió Guru Frades, Eneko Llanos e Ivan Raña like the four Spanish representatives in the Kona World Cup.

This 2016 will be a historic year for the Spanish women's triathlon, because for the first time in history there will be 2 representatives in the world championship.

In the men's category, the leader of the KPR ranking has been Jan Frondeno with 13.350 points. Eneko Llanos he occupied the 6ª square with 8525 points, thanks above all to his top 7 from Kona'15 and to the podium of the Ironman in Frankfurt. For its part Ivan Raña I finish in 42ª position, being its best results the points of Kona'15 the Ironman 70.3 of Brasilia.

For its part in the female category the leader was the Swiss Daniela Ryf with 15.250 points. The Spanish having no Kona'15 points have both had to finish up to 3 Ironman, as well as some 70.3 test. Guru Frades he occupied the 7ª place in the ranking with 7070, achieving his maximum points in the Ironman of Brazil (3ª) and in that of Vichy (1ª), while Saleta Castror it was the 37ª being its best results the 6ª place of Frankfurt and the 2ª position of Maastrich.
