Saleta Castro fourth at the Ironman 70.3 in Dublin

At 7 in the morning (local time) the start was given for the test where more than 2.000 triathletes took the start among all the categories.

 

This Sunday a new edition of Ironman 70.3 was held in Dublin (Ireland) where Galician Saleta Castro has achieved the fourth final place of the race and

The first to leave the water were Susie Cheetham followed at 42 seconds by Sarah Lewis and by Saleta Castro in third position at 47 seconds. Already over 90 km of cycling, Saleta endured in the top positions finishing the sector in fifth position almost 12 minutes after the first to arrive at T2 Susie Cheetham, who had more than 5 minutes of advantage at the beginning of the race about his compatriot Natalie Seymour.

In the foot race Susie Cheetham he knew how to maintain the advantage to get the victory in a time of 4: 22: 33, followed by Natalie Seymour (4:26:48) and by the Hungarian Anna Halasz (4: 35: 22). Saleta Castro was fourth finishing the test in 4: 41: 06.

In the male category the victory was for Ben Collins (4: 00: 41) followed by Harry Wiltshire (4: 04: 05) and of Paul Reitmayr (4: 06: 41) occupying the third final place.

Saleta in this test sought to improve his worst position in an Ironman 70.3 (10º in Monterey) of the season to score points in his classification for Kona, so with this fourth place he has achieved some valuable points for his classification.
