"Being here in Chattanooga is a huge illusion, being able to compete with the best triathletes in the world is a unique opportunity so I will try to make a great career. I want to thank all the people who have always supported me, my husband, my family, my coach Alvaro Rancé and also all the sponsors and sponsors who have been by my side these years, without all that help I would not have been able to to be here".

The competition will start the 7: 30 in the morning, (13: 30 hours in Spain)

Javier Gómez Noya for his great goal of 2017

Tomorrow, Sunday, in the men's event Javier Gómez Noya will participate in the professional category, in which there are 56 registered, in what he has considered his great goal of 2017. Although the final of the World Series in Rotterdam is still pending, in which he could achieve a new world Olympic distance title, this season he has varied his training to improve his performance in longer distance triathlons and with the individual cycling regulations.

In fact he has achieved victory in the two triathlons he has played in 2017 with this regulation: in January in Dubai and last week already in the US. In Chattaaanoga will be measured the best global specialists in the middle distance, with a route of 2km of swimming in the Tennessee River, followed by 90 kilometers by bike at one turn and 21 kilometers on foot in two laps:

"Once the courses are recognized, I am sure that it will be a very demanding triathlon. The first part of cycling has a lot of unevenness with several steep slopes, while the second part is flatter. And the race is very hard, continuous ups and downs, which will not be able to keep a uniform rhythm and will have to face it having kept well during cycling".

It will be the third time that Gómez Noya will dispute the World Cup in this distance: in 2014 he won in Canada and in 2015 the 3 place in Austria. The 2017 edition will start at the local 7h30 with the professional round (followed by the different ones for the amateur triathletes separated by age groups), 13: 30 in Spain and can be followed online through the web ironmanlive.com.

Between the rivals they emphasize the 3 Top 2016: Tim Reed, Sebastian KIenle (winner in 2012 and 2013, 2º in 2015) and Rudi Wield; Tim Don (3º in 2014) and Michael Raelert (winner in 2009 and 2010).
