Tomás Amado (Spanish veteran in Kona) goes down to the IRONMAN World Championship

Bad news for the Spanish TriArmada in the World Cup in Hawaii, yesterday we learned that Tomas Amado will not be able to play the Kona Ironman due to a health problem.

Tomás Amado is the oldest veteran triathlete of the Spanish delegation, has 70 years and lives in Sant Boi (Barcelona). He achieved his classification last year in the IM of Calella by winning in the 65-69 category.

From Triatlon Noticias we want to send a big hug to Tomás and a lot of encouragement. We hope that he will recover soon and we are sure that he will return to "Mecca". Finally we want to thank Santi Ferrer, Tomás' friend and training partner for the information he has given us.
