Peace Treaty between Challenge Roth and Ironman Frankfurt

The two main franchises in the world of Triathlon have signed the peace with the Frankfurt and Roth events since both tests were held in Germany on the same day.

After intense negotiations mediated by the German Triathlon Federation finally both parties have decided to move the tests that coincided in the calendar for the year 2019.

El Ironman 2019 European Championship the June 30 will be held in Frankfurt, while Challenge Roth It's a week later, the 7 for July. This year the two tests will be held in the 9 of July and in the 2018 Challenge Roth will be the 1 of July while Ironman Frankfurt the 9 of the same month.

Speaking to triaguide, Björn Steinmetz, Germany Director of Ironman Germany: “The big winner is sport and that's how it should be. I appreciate the very constructive discussions with the German FA and the Chanllenge team. I am sure that we have created a good basis for negotiation, not only for dates in 2020, but also for other topics in triathlon Germany.
