Since we receive the Pack ID.TRI We have been testing it to discover its characteristics, since it is 100% thought of the triathlete.

In another article, we tested it to see how it worked with Bkool, To turn the conventional roller into one compatible with virtual cycling platforms.

In this article we explain step by step how to install the speed / cadence sensor on the bicycle and configure the PC to connect to Bkool.

Thought for the triathlete

Due to its size, the ID.TRI can be put underneath the wetsuit to swim with data and doesn't bother anything when you remove it.

In addition, the support that comes for the bike is also designed for transitions, since it has some anchorages, where you can "hook" the strap of the watch in a way, allowing you to make a very fast T1 and T2.

Although it seems to be "hanging" the grip is very firm and secure.

Usability

Light and small

The first thing that the watch stands out is its lightness and how thin it is, it can even be put inside the neoprene in the swimming segment, making it easier to take it off in the transition since it adapts perfectly.

Screen

It is very fine and looks good, we miss that you can customize the screens from the watch itself, although it can be done in a very visual way from the App.

As for the brightness, to activate it you have to press the lower buttons at the same time.

Buttons

Its use is very simple, and everything is based on a "red" button that gives you access to the menus, and confirmations (Enter Type).

The touch is very correct, they are the ideal size and it costs nothing to access all the functions of the watch.

In addition, they are perfectly integrated and do not snag on clothing

Colours

The silicone bracelet is available in four colors and can be changed quickly and easily

Using for workouts

It has predefined, 4 types of training, Running, Swimming, Cycling and "Others". The latter can be used with any other sport we do

In each sport, the necessary data for training can be configured such as pool distance, linked sensors, wheel size, etc.

The optimal GPS signal, get it right away

It's simple and intuitive. If you want to set goals, you have to access a submenu that has the clock (keeping the lower right button pressed), where you can load routes, set rhythms, HR, etc.

Battery duration

The ID.TRI battery lasts about 7 hours in full training. It may seem like a short time, but due to its quality / price it is something not to take into account.

The smart light

One thing that we really liked is that, if you are working in the correct training zone, the clock shows a green light and if you are below or above a red one,

So in this visual way you know if you are training correctly.

Data views on the watch

In training, you can see the data in real time, on the 6 available screens

They are the rhythm. Distance, altitude, current time, training zones% of battery, cadence, etc.

Pre-installed workout routines

The watch also has a series of pre-installed workouts such as a TEST FPT, 30 × 30, or a HIT for you to use

The good thing is that you can use it in any sport that comes on the watch.

Upload your own workout routines

The SIGMA software also allows you to upload your own workouts from any platform that allows the download of a file. FIT and then synchronize it with the ID: TRI

The procedure is simple, upload the file with the APP, synchronize the clock, and from the Training Submenu, load the session and train.

Competition mode

The Triathlon competition mode is pre-installed, with the 3 segments plus the transitions, so you will not have to think about anything else but compete, you just have to warn him when you change segments.

In addition, it has a Duathlon and a Swim & Run pre-installed. Within each section you can configure the distances of the test

SIGMA LINK

To consult the data, update the Firmware, configure the clock, etc. You will have to do it through the SIGMA LINK application. It is available for Smartphone and PC.

Keep in mind that from here you configure the training zones for each sport, as well as the estimated power.

It is compatible with Strava, Trainning Peaks, 2Peak, Komoot, etc. If you link the program with the accounts of these platforms, they will be uploaded automatically so that you can analyze them later.

In this application you can check the calendar, training statistics, advanced session data,

The watch can be synchronized through the mobile or the power cable, we recommend the latter since the whole process is much faster.

Potentiometer compatible?

The SIGMA ID.TRI is compatible with any potentiometer on the market that has ANT + or BLE technology.

Basically it is a watch that is compatible with everything, including the new electronic changes (it therefore registers what plate and pinion you were going at all times)

Route mode

The watch, in addition to all of the above, has a routes section, compatible with the Komoot platform. You can upload your routes, send them to the clock, download your routes, etc.

Its use is very simple, it works well, the clock guides you by means of a compass so that you don't get lost
