ASICS SUPERBLAST 3: This is the new training shoe with FF LEAP

La ASICS SUPERBLAST 3 is the new version of the Japanese brand's super trainer and comes with FF LEAP foam, 10 grams less weight and a clear focus on long runs and training sessions with more bounce.

ASICS has officially unveiled the SUPERBLAST 3, a high-performance training shoe that takes some of the technology seen in its faster range to bring it to a model designed to accumulate kilometers with a livelier feel underfoot.

The brand places it within its family BLAST as an option geared towards distance and to the return of energy.

What's changed in the ASICS SUPERBLAST 3

The main innovation is in the midsole. SUPERBLAST 3 premieres FF LEAP, ASICS' lightest and most responsive foam to date, replacing the FF TURBO PLUS which the previous version used. In addition, there is a new geometry with trampoline pod Redesigned to improve responsiveness and rebound with every stride.

This update also improves the fit in the midfoot area with a new eyestay design, while maintaining an upper engineered woven Lightweight and breathable. The goal is for the shoe to adapt better to movement without losing its maximalist character.

Lighter than the SUPERBLAST 2

One of the clearest changes is in weight. ASICS SUPERBLAST 3 brand 239 grams in a unisex version, compared to the 250 grams from SUPERBLAST 2.

It also slightly adjusts its profile, with a declared height of 38,5 mm in the forefoot and 46,5 mm in the heel, maintaining a 8mm drop.

The midsole construction combines FF LEAP y FF BLAST PLUS, a formula with which ASICS seeks a soft feel but with a more pronounced response in cheerful rhythms and long training sessions.

This model is positioned as the shoe in the BLAST series with a concept of “endless bounce” and a recommended use for distance running.

The ASICS SUPERBLAST 3 stands out for its new FF LEAP foam, its high profile and a foot strike geared towards long runs with more rebound.

A shoe designed for training far from minimalism

The SUPERBLAST 3 doesn't look like a transitional shoe or an entry-level option. Based on its design, midsole volume, and technologies, it falls squarely into the segment of the premium training shoes for runners who seek protection, rebound and a highly assisted stride in medium and long print runs.

Within the ASICS catalog, its role is quite defined. The brand reserves the NOVABLAST 5 for everyday use, the SONICBLAST for livelier rhythms and the MEGABLAST for maximum rebound, while the SUPERBLAST 3 It comes down to one very specific point: a very responsive shoe for running a lot and with a constant feeling of momentum.

Materials and sustainability approach

ASICS also highlights several elements related to the model's manufacturing. The SUPERBLAST 3 incorporates recycled polyester in the upper, dope-dyed sockliner to reduce the use of water and bio-based materials in the midsole.

These are details that don't change the positioning of the shoe, but they are part of the product message of this third generation.

Price, release date and colors

La ASICS SUPERBLAST 3 It went on sale with a price of 220 Euros...with three color combinations for this launch: White / Black, Cobalt Burst/Light Orange y Seashell/Sun Coral.

The ASICS SUPERBLAST 3 arrives with a significant update compared to the previous version. It's lighter and features a new foam. FF LEAP and reinforces its profile as one of the most ambitious training shoes in the brand's catalog.
