Canyon's New Bike: The SPEEDMAX CFR TT DISC

In top-level time-trial races, every millisecond, every minute detail, is decisive in achieving victory.

Aerodynamic efficiency and stiffness make the difference between a true time trial bike and one that simply adapts to this mode.

The new Speedmax CFR TT Disc is the latest generation of one of the time trial bikes fastest on the market.

It is not a simple update, it is a top-of-the-range CFR model It complies with UCI regulations, designed and built to scratch seconds off the clock.

Abbreviations CFR stands for Canyon Factory Racing, synonymous with the highest level of performance in competition cycling.

The result is a highly precise time trial machine capable of transforming every watt generated by the runner into speed.

Features

If we talk about components, this bike includes the best. Premium Carbon Zipp wheels: Super 9 Disc at the rear and 808 Firecrest at the front. SRAM Red AXS eTap groupset with Vuka Shift extensions and integrated bike computer mount.

Top-of-the-range Ergon pads, Selle Italia Watt saddle and Ceramic Speed rollers.

But the highlight of the Speedmax CFR TT Disc is its frame, the result of intensive development by Canyon engineers.

A frame of just 1.030g * (size M) and a 500g * fork with spectacular weight / stiffness values. In addition, thanks to its advanced aerodynamic optimization, this bike is able to save 2.7 watts compared to the previous model despite the change to disc brakes.

The new extensions can be adjusted using spacers to meet the fit requirements of modern time trials.

Designed for triathlon

There are two key differences from the triathlon version of the Speedmax.

First of all, the Speedmax TT eliminates all storage and nutrition options, indispensable for high-level triathletes like Jan Frodeno, Lionel Sanders, Patrick Lange, Imogen Simmonds or Laura Philipp.

Second, the frame tubes have new shapes specially developed to comply with UCI regulations, making it a totally different model.

In short, this is a bike developed with a very clear objective, nothing more and nothing less than to win races against the clock.
