Zoggs presents its new range of sustainable wetsuits for training in cold water
Winter is once again putting open water triathletes to the test. For those who maintain their routine even when temperatures drop, Zoggs has launched a line of high-performance wetsuits designed to offer thermal protection, mobility, and efficiency in the water.
The Hypex Ultra FS , Predator Pro FS , and Explorer Ultra FS models combine different thicknesses of Yamamoto neoprene, quick transition systems, and an environmental approach that reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 24% per suit.
Hypex Ultra FS: maximum elasticity and free stroke
Designed for swimmers and triathletes seeking precision in every movement, the Hypex Ultra FS utilizes Yamamoto 40 , one of the most elastic materials on the market. Its HYPEX construction offers a "second skin" fit, facilitating a natural stroke even in cold water.
It features 1,5mm panels in the arms and torso for enhanced flexibility, and 3mm sections in the torso for buoyancy and thermal retention. The YKK Reverse Zip system and Quick Transition Cuffs allow for quick donning and doffing, which is useful for winter training or competitions in cold conditions.
Predator Pro FS: optimized buoyancy for triathlon
The Predator Pro FS model is designed for triathletes who need a higher, more hydrodynamic position. It is made with Yamamoto 39 in five different thicknesses, ranging from 1,5 to 4 mm.
The 4mm AERODOME panels on the chest and thighs elevate the swimmer's position, improving efficiency with each stroke. Meanwhile, the 1,5mm and 2mm zones on the arms and shoulders provide freedom of movement, especially at the beginning of the aerial phase of the stroke.
Explorer Ultra FS: comfort and durability for year-round adventures
The Explorer Ultra FS model is designed for those who swim in the sea or reservoirs year-round. It uses Yamamoto 38 in various thicknesses (1,5 to 2,5 mm), striking a balance between elasticity and durability.
Its Second Skin design, with a low collar and Double Face neoprene in the armpits and legs , provides comfort on long journeys, helping to maintain body temperature without limiting movement.
Sustainable commitment: oil-free neoprene
The three models are integrated into Zoggs' sustainability strategy:
