Strava, the popular platform for active people, has released its annual report Year in Sport: Trend Report, which reveals the most important trends in the global sports landscape in 2024.

The report collects data from billions of activities recorded by its community of more than 135 million users in more than 190 countries, as well as insights obtained from a survey of more than 5.000 active people, both users and non-users of the platform.

Mobile phone beats watch, except in races

Most Strava users prefer to record their activities on their mobile device.

Un 72% of users uploaded their activities directly from the Strava mobile app, although they alternate between devices depending on the type of activity. However, in competitions the trend changes.
