Successful completion of the 1 edition of Zoot OPEN WATER Begur

Spectacular weekend lived in Begur where the first edition of Zoot OPEN WATER RACE. A total of 600 participants gathered to participate in this test that far exceeded all expectations, offering a spectacular day of sports and fun that took place all weekend starting on Saturday with the Swimmer and Breafing Fair prior to the competition as well as an excellent and sunny competition Sunday with a spectacular final party.

At 09:00 the first of the appointments began where the participants had to complete a distance of 6.500 meters by swimming starting at the Playa de No It was until 10.00:3.000 in the morning when the start of the XNUMX crossing from the Aiguafreda Beach.

A distance that also attracted the attention of athletes from other disciplines, as was the case of the Olympic triathlete Xavi Llobet, a great swimmer who only came to 28 second of the winner, and the renowned Rally driver Luis Moya, among others.

Marc Calderón was the winner of the 3.000 meter test followed by Josep Franco and Alberto Gómez. In the women's category, Carol Fernandez managed to take first place on the podium with a total time of 00: 47: 01, followed by Iciar Font and Gemma Corominas

With the guarantee of quality of the organizing company Win Sports Factory, in collaboration with Marnatón, this test has had the main sponsorship of Zoot, sports reference company internationally and the support of the Local Council. Zoot OPEN WATER Begur, in a single edition, has already been consolidated as a reference test in swimming crossings and I already planned to hold the second appointment the next 2014.
