1 Month for the Peguera Mallorca Challenge
Just one month before its celebration, the Challenge Peguera Mallorca2024 is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 19.
This event is not just a triathlon; it is a A comprehensive experience that combines sport, family and the beauty of Mallorca, offering a perfect environment for both athletes and their companions.
El medium distance triathlon It includes a challenging route: 1,9 km of swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Peguera, 90 km of cycling along a renovated circuit that promises safety and unforgettable landscapes, and 21 km of running in an environment that combines the beach atmosphere with the warmth of the Mallorcan people.
This year, the organization has worked intensively to adjust the cycling route, improving safety and athlete experience.
Changes to the Cycling Route
One of the highlights of this edition is the improvements to the cycling circuit.
In collaboration with the local police, critical sections of 12 km per lap have been eliminated, replacing them with safer and more visually spectacular routes, such as the Les Illes Malgrats viewpoint and the Via de la Cruz.
“Our goal is to make racing safer and more enjoyable for athletes, allowing them to focus on pushing their limits,” commented the organizers of the Challenge Mallorca Peguera.
A Family Event in an Unparalleled Setting
The Challenge Mallorca Peguera is much more than a triathlon; it is an event designed for the whole family.
While the athletes compete, their companions can enjoy a wide range of activities, from races for kids to cultural events such as the traditional “Nit de Foc” Majorcan with the emblematic “Dimonis”.
In addition, the organization has prepared a “Pasta Party"a traveling event that combines local cuisine with the energy of the event.
Peguera, located on the west coast of Mallorca, offers a perfect setting for enjoying sport and tourism.
With its fine sandy beaches, hiking trails and varied gastronomic offering, it is the ideal place to turn the competition into a mini vacation.
Visitors can explore from the cliffs of the Sa Foradada viewpoint to the charming villages of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
