10 Spaniards in the Yokohama World Series

The Japanese city of Yokohama kicks off the Triathlon World Series World Triathlon 2024 with the presence of 10 Spanish triathletes with the aim of adding points for the World Cup classification and Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Favorites

The competition will have the absence of some of the big favorites in both categories.

In men, not even the British will be there Alex Yee nor the New Zealander Wilde, while in women, Potter and Beaugrand leave the test with more options for the rest more open.

But there will be triathletes of the caliber of Vincent Luis, Corian Coninx, Leo Berguere and Kristian Blummenfelt, the current world champion, who will undoubtedly be one of the favorites for victory.

In the female category, it will be necessary to take into account Taylor Knibb, Taylor Spivey  y Flora Duffy among others.

In the men's category, Spanish hope lies in Antonio Serrat, Roberto Sánchez Mantecón, Alberto González, David Castro y Sergio Baxter.

It is expected that some of them can fight for a place in the top 10, especially Serrat y Mantecón, who have already shown a high level in the Hong Kong World Cup.

In the female category, the Spanish woman with the most podium options is Anna Godoy.
