4 Spaniards in the Sprint Triathlon European Championship

There are medal options for Spain with Tamara Gómez recovered

This weekend will be held in Kazan (Russia) the European sprint distance triathlon championship where we have the presence of four Spaniards

The Spanish expedition will be headed by a Tamara Gómez who returns to a great international event after his long period of injuries that he has lived since the 2016, in the previous one to the Rio Olympics, to which he had to give up

After his exhibition on foot in the past Spanish Sprint Triathlon Championship from Roquetas de Mar that led her to victory, Tamara arrives at the event with great enthusiasm to return to the potential we enjoy in her before the injuries, winning the 2015 Mooloolaba World Cup.

On the starting line it will be accompanied by Xisca Tous, current Champion of Spain 2018 (Olympic distance) and Runner-up of Spain 2019 (distance sprint). Xisca arrives in Kazan having played 3 World Cups this season and with the 2º place of the Sines European Cup as the most outstanding result

With Julie Derron, European sub23 champion in 2018, as a rival to beat, presents a very open test in the fight for the continental title and medals.

Alberto González, being Spain Sprint Distance Triathlon Champion after a magnificent race in Roquetas de Mar, it will be our men's banner alongside Jordi García, runner-up of Spain. Alberto arrives at the event with great results this season and participating in World Cups and World Series of Mixed Relay. Both will have to face important names from the European continent like Azerbaijani Rotislav Petsov, Felix Duchampt (currently under the ITU flag), the British Gordon Benson, the Russian Igor Polyanskiythe Serbian Stojanovic or the irish Doherty.

Start list

The test will be held tomorrow Saturday 27 of July with the female exit at 10: 00 AM and the male at 12: 00 Spanish time.

In the starting list, none of the big names in the World Series appear, so Spain has medal options.

There are no previous results.
