4 months until the Lanzarote Cycling Tour
The island of Lanzarote is preparing to host the first edition of the Lanzarote Cycling Tour, a unique cycling event that promises to become an unmissable event for cycling lovers.
Organized by Club La Santa and Supported by the Cabildo of Lanzarote, this competition will be held on September 28 and 29, 2024 and will tour the seven municipalities of the island.
A spectacular tour
The Cycling Tour of Lanzarote consists of two stages that add up to a total of 189 kilometers.
La first stage, 115 kilometers, It will begin at Club La Santa and end in Puerto del Carmen, passing through emblematic towns such as Famara, Teguise, Haría and Mirador del Río.
This stage will include a demanding time trial from Haría to Mirador del Río, with a distance of 8.5 km and a gradient of 310 meters, which must be completed in less than an hour.
La second stage, 74 kilometers, It will depart from Puerto del Carmen and conclude at Club La Santa, passing through places such as Femés, Playa Blanca and Timanfaya.
During this day, the cyclists will face two time trials: the first from Las Casitas to Femés, 5.3 km and a gradient of 170 meters, and the second on the road from Timanfaya to Mancha Blanca, with a distance of 12.7 km and a gradient of 220 meters
Prices and categories
The event is open to cyclists of different categories, from Junior (17-18 years old) to Master 60 (over 60 years old).
The participation of teams composed of four memberss, which can be male, female or mixed.
Registration for the two stages costs 85 euros if done before July 1, 2024, increasing to 115 euros from that date and 155 euros if done after September 17

Awards and acknowledgements
All participants who complete both stages will receive a medal and a finalist diploma.
In addition, tNFT rofeos to the top three overall, as well as the best in each category and the first conejero (born in Lanzarote) and canario (born in the Canary Islands).
The overall winners will wear the red jersey in the second stage, while the best team will wear the white jersey and the best in the time trials will wear the lunar jersey
