800 triathletes will participate in the OTSO Challenge Salou 2024
The countdown has begun. Next Sunday, June 2, Salou will once again be the focus of all eyes, with the 9th edition of the OTSO Challenge Salou.
In this edition, 800 triathletes from 43 countries They will meet on the Costa Daurada to face a top-level sports competition.
The event will offer three distances to adapt to all levels: Middle Distance (individual and relays), Short Distance y Fast Distance.
Participants will face a demanding course that combines swimming in the Mediterranean, cycling along panoramic roads and running along the Salou promenade.
An elite showcase
The OTSO Challenge Salou It is not just another test in the calendar. This year, the competition will distribute €25.000 in prizes for the top six finishers (men and women) in the Middle distance.
Furthermore, it is a qualifying test for the World Cup (The Championship) which will be held in Samorin, Slovakia, and will award points towards the World Challenge Bonus Family with $100.000 in prizes.
Salou consolidates itself as silver category test of the Professional Triathlon Organisation (PTO), which will allow athletes to add points for the world ranking of this organization.
For the fourth consecutive year, it will also be a valid test for the national ranking of Medium Distance of the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI).
Much more than a career
The OTSO Challenge Salou is an event for everyone. During the weekend, parallel activities will be carried out such as the ABUS Bike Course Check, the Family Run and Zumba for the entire family.

As a novelty, the club with the largest number of participants will receive a prize of 300 euros and five free registrations for the 2025 edition.
