Eluid Kipchoge first man to drop below 2 o'clock
Furthermore, Kipchoge was the first man to lower than 2 hours in marathon.
He did it in the city of Vienna in 2019, on a totally flat circuit and where he was helped by a group of 41 hares as well as a car opening the circuit. This record is not considered official
Men's official record

The official marathon record is also held Eluid Kipchoge with a time of 2:01:39 in the 2018 Berlin marathon.
Kipchoge broke the mark of Dennis Kimetto from 2:02:57 also achieved in Berlin in 2014
