Once again, and after the celebration last May of the Duathlon Spain Championship, Águilas continues with its firm commitment to our sport. On this occasion, the town of Murcia will become the venue for the European Sub-23 and Youth Triathlon Championship, as well as the Junior European Cup.
The event will bring together the young promises of national and international triathlon. Among the next 1 and 2 in September, Águilas will host the celebration of the European Sub-23 and Youth Triathlon Championship, as well as the Junior European Cup. An event that will have a broad participation, gathering more than 360 young triathletes from 30 countries.
The European Sub-23 Triathlon Championships will be attended by 100 triathletes, with 37 participants in the women's category and 59 in the men's event. For its part, the Junior European Cup will be attended by 71 boys and 48 girls. While it is planned that 36 teams participate in the Youth relay and other 10 teams in the Mixed Sub-23 relay.
Located in the Alto Guadalentín region, the city has a long history of sports, and stands out for its good organization, management and dedication. Likewise, it highlights the push and commitment of a local town with top-level sporting events.
