Ainhoa ​​Murua finishes ninth at the Hamburg Triathlon

The Australian Erin Densham won the triumph in the women's Triathlon Hamburg, in which the Spanish Ainhoa ​​Murúa finished ninth, in the last competition before the Olympic Games.

The Gipuzkoan triathlete, who will face her third Games in London, completed a good performance and finished 54 seconds behind the winner.

For their part, Marina Damlaimcourt and Zuriñe Rodríguez, the other two national Olympians, were twenty-second and twenty-eighth respectively. Carolina Routier obtained the thirty-ninth place.

The Australian representatives were the great winners of the Hamburg Triathlon. Erin Densham prevailed with a time of 56:07. Second place went to her compatriot Emma Moffatt (56:19). The American Sarah Groff (56:21) was third.

On Saturday the Spanish Javier Gómez Noya finished in second place in the men's competition. The victory went to the South African Richard Murray, who confirmed his status as the revelation of the season and achieved victory thanks to his excellent finish in the last kilometer of the test.
