Alejandro Valverde: “Cycling is my life and I will continue to enjoy it as long as I can”
Alexander Valverde, One of the most outstanding cyclists in the recent history of Spanish sport, has appeared in Lanzarote for the inauguration of the Lanzarote Cycling Tour, organized by Club La Santa

Valverde, who has dedicated his life to cycling since he was a child, expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to be involved in this sport.After 20 years as a professional, I continue training and enjoying cycling every morning.
Although I no longer compete at the highest level, staying active is very important to me, and events like the Vuelta a Lanzarote are perfect for continuing to enjoy what I like most.", he claimed.
With an enviable career that includes many participations in Grand Tours, with victories in the Vuelta a España, stages in the Tour de France or classics such as the Fleche Wallonne, Valverde also highlighted his title of World Champion in 2018 as one of his greatest achievements.Every win is special, but the World Championship will always have a prominent place in my career.“, he recalled.
