Some bicycle brands have to raise their prices by up to 12% due to the pandemic

This is confirmed by the data collected in England, and this is due to the complexity of the supply chain and the increase in costs.

As reported by ROAD.CC in recent months they have had to increase  the prices of some bike models due to the complexity of the supply chain and "increased costs"

From Triatlon News we want to detail that the study carried out by ROAD.CC is a price comparison (detailed in a table at the bottom of this article) that refers to the England market prices, Today we do not have this information for the Spanish market as to be able to affirm that this rise has been generalized.

During these months the confinements and international blockadess have made the production and distribution slows down, in addition to an increase in the demand for bicycles around the world.

Up to 12% increase in prices

In England, where it is medium, it has done the study on these brands: Specialized, Giant and Canyon, confirm that they have already begun to increase prices, reaching up to 12% in some of the models.

Specialized UK Marketing Director Kirsty Woodcock commented on this topic

“Our entire supply chain is facing unprecedented difficulties, leading to more complexity and higher costs.  We are also investing heavily to increase production and maintain stability.

This has led to price adjustments as we prepare to better meet the needs of more customers.s«.
