Ana Gómez and Julen Andueza win in the FETRI qualifier in Cáceres qualifier in Cáceres
It is valid for the Spanish Olympic Distance Championship

Last weekend, the historic city of Cáceres witnessed the Cáceres Ciudad Historica Triathlon, a qualifying event for the Spanish Triathlon Championship in Olympic distance.
With more than 300 participants, this competition was organized by the Sports Department of the Cáceres City Council, the Extremadura Triathlon Federation and the Cáceres los Delfines Swimming Club, with the sponsorship of the General Directorate of Sports of the Government of Extremadura and the Youth and Sports Foundation, and the collaboration of the Cáceres Provincial Council.
Women's Results
Ana Gomez Carballo, from Clube Cidade de Lugo Fluvial, won with authority in the women's event. Gómez crossed the finish line with a time of 2 hours, 18 minutes and 7 seconds, thus ensuring his qualification for the championship to be held in September in Banyoles.
Secondly, it came Iria Fernandez, from the Vilalba Triathlon, with a time of 2 hours, 20 minutes and 15 seconds. Third place on the podium went to Andrea Morras, from Tritones Rioja, who completed the test in 2 hours, 20 minutes and 45 seconds.
Male Results
In the male category, Julen Andueza, from Saltoki Trikideak, won the victory thanks to a time of 1 hour, 52 minutes and 51 seconds.
Andueza managed to surpass Diego Mentrida, from Peñota Dental Alusigma, who finished in 1 hour, 52 minutes and 53 seconds, already Raul Gomez, from the Valladolid E-Triathlon, who completed the route in 1 hour, 53 minutes.
Completing the first five places in the men's classification were jesus candle y Sergio Ortiz, both from Peñota Dental Alusigma, who demonstrated great consistency and skill throughout the competition.
