Anne Haug: Triathlete of the Month for July by the PTO after her Record in Roth
Anne Haug, the German triathlete, has been named Athlete of the Month for July by the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO), thanks to her impressive victory in the Challenge Roth.
In this event, Haug not only took the title, but also set a new world record with a time of 8:02:38, getting dangerously close to the 8-hour barrier.
Haug dominated the race from the beginning, standing out in the marathon where he completed the 42 kilometers in a time of 2:38, the second fastest in the competition.
A Year of Triumphs
If victory in Roth has been just another chapter in a year full of successes for Haug, since in May, also broke the record from the Club La Santa HOMBRE DE HIERRO Lanzarote, beating the title that had been in the hands of **Paula Newby-Fraser** for 29 years.
