Anne Haug wins the Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote 2024.

Today the 32nd edition of the Club La Santa was held in Puerto del Carmen HOMBRE DE HIERRO Lanzarote, where the victory has been for Anne Haug in the women's category and for Kenneth Vandendriessche  in the male

Today Anne has shattered all the race records, such as that of the eight-time IRONMAN world champion, Paula Newby-Fraser and the 10-minute running segment.

The test, which was held over a distance of 3,8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42 km of running, began at 7 in the morning with the departure of the professionals.

Anne Haug was the first out of the water almost 5 minutes ahead of Fiona Moriarty, Lydia Dant and Jeanne Collonge.

In the first kilometers of cycling, Haugm continued to increase his advantage to pass the 76th km of the race with 5:42 over Dant and 10:16 over Collonge.

Passing through the Río viewpoint, Haug was still the leader with 9:49 ahead of Dant and 13:28 over the French Collonge

The first to get off the bike in T2 was Haug with an advantage of 18:27 over Dant and 22:55 over Collonge.

In the foot race, the German was able to maintain her advantage to achieve her first victory in the race with a time of 9:06:40.

The second classified was the French Jeanne Collonge, third last year, with a time of 9:50:24. Third was the British Lydia dant, winner in the last 2 editions, with a time of 9:54:54.

In addition to the main protagonists, the triathletes, the celebration of the Club La Santa IRONMAN Lanzarote has mobilized more than 4.000 people between organizers, volunteers and security, it has the support of the main local and regional public institutions, such as the Government of the Canary Islands, Cabildo de Lanzarote, Promotur Turismo de Lanzarote, Lanzarote Sports Destination by Turismo Lanzarote, the town councils and other private sponsors that give a great boost to the calendar sporting and the different events in the Canary Islands.
