The Torremolinos-Andalusia Final will host the first official Mixed Relay Paratriathlon World Cup

The International Triathlon Federation, known as 'World Triathlon', has confirmed that the Grand Final of the Torremolinos-Andalucía 2024 World Championship will be the venue for the first Mixed Relay Paratriathlon World Cup in history.

This milestone follows two years of test competitions in Abu Dhabi 2022 and Pontevedra 2023, and promises to be one of the most inclusive and exciting events of the season.

The competition will take place from October 17th to 20th in the vibrant city of Torremolinos.

The event will not only stand out for its unique format, but also for the participation of athletes from all over the world, who will compete in teams of four members: two men and two women.

Each athlete will complete a supersprint triathlon section that includes swimming, bike and running, adding their times for the team total.

This format, similar to the successful Olympic Mixed Relay of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, seeks to promote equality and teamwork in a Paralympic framework.
