Blummenfelt: “I'm going to Frankfurt to finish”
Norwegian triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt, known as the “bull”, will return to the IRONMAN distance after his participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he obtained 12th place in the individual event and 11th in the mixed relay.
He will do it this coming Sunday, August 18 at the Frankfurt IRONMAN, which will be the European Championship of the franchise.
Blummenfelt will participate in this race with the aim of ensuring his qualification for the Kona World Championships, which will take place on October 26, and for the IRONMAN 70.3 in , which will take place in December.

The 'bull' arrives in Frankfurt with limited preparation, as he has just competed in the Olympic Games, and his goal is to “survive and finish.”
In his latest statements to _protrinews_, Blummenfelt confessed that the last time he rode a time trial bike was at the 70.3 World Championship in Finland, a year ago.
“Last Sunday was the first day I took the time trial bike since the 70.3 World Championship in Finland, a year ago. After the Games, I went home to train and prepare.
And here we are to do our best, but I am also aware that I arrive with limited preparation, since I have just competed in the Olympic Gamess,” Blummenfelt explained.
Sam Long will also be in Frankfurt
The American Sam long has joined the list of triathletes who will be in Frankfurt.
After finishing in eleventh place in the London T100 Triathlon at the end of July, he enters the event with the goal of qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.
