Boris Stein and Camila Pedersen European Champions Ironman 70.3. Albert Moreno TOP 10

Miguel Ángel Fidalgo, Albert Moreno, Joan Nadal and Anna Noguera were our representatives.

 

Today it was held in the German town of Wiesbaden on Ironman 70.3 European Championship where the German Boris Stein has won the victory by proclaiming himself Ironman 70.3 European Champion

Already in the race, the fastest to get out of the water was the Swiss Manuel Kuengfollowed Frederic Belaubre and Maurice Clavel initiating the cycling sector in the lead.

On the bike, Maurice Clavel made a small gap at the beginning followed by a group consisting of Andreas Raelert, Peter Robertson, Pieter Heemeryck. At km 40, the German Andreas Raelert, formed a group at the head of the race with Andreas Raelert, Manuel Kueng, Maurice Clavel and Boris Stein who finally imposed a strong rhythm which helped him to reach T2 with almost 5 minutes of advantage about Andreas Raelert. Albert Moreno arrived in 12th position more than 12 minutes behind the head.

Already in the career sector Raelert was gradually trimming distances over Boris stein which earned him the advantage obtained on the bike getting the final victory in a time of 4: 03: 08. The second classified was Andreas Raelert (4: 05: 03), followed by Ruedi Wild (4:06:53) in third final position. The Catalan Albert Moreno I got a magnificent ninth final position. As for the rest of Spanish Joan Nadal  I finished in 22nd position.

The Spanish David Castro Iglesias has achieved the European title in the 40-44 category, finishing in the 45ª final position and Jordi Moreno he has also achieved the title in the 55-59 category,

In the women Camila Pedersen she was the first to arrive at T2 alongside Anja Beranek, more than 5 minutes ahead of Natascha Schmitt. Pedersen and Beranek were together the first 10 kilometers of the race sector, until the rhythm of the Danish woman allowed her to open a gap little by little.

Which allowed her to arrive in first position with a final time of 04:36:04 followed by Anja Beranek (04: 40: 29) and of Alexandra tondeur (4: 43: 14) occupying the third final position. Anna Noguera, the only Spanish representative did not complete the test.
