We interview Juanan Fernández, Brand Manager EXTREME MAN

After an exceptional trajectory where EXTREME MAN, with only 3 years of life, has positioned itself as a national benchmark in terms of Media Distance events, WIN SPORTS FACTORY, the organizing company of this event has decided to take a step forward with the hiring Juanan Fernández as Brand Manager of this reference brand in the organization of Medium Distance events in the world of Triathlon.

 

From today Juanan will assume the management and direction of a Medium Distance triathlon brand with the aim of offering a top quality test to all its participants and consolidating it, within 3 years, as an international benchmark.

With more than 6 years of experience in the organization and management Juanan Fernández is presented today as an excellent bet of the brand EXTREME MAN.

Triathlon News, to know a little more about the brand and the novelties with which these tests will count in the next 2013, we wanted to interview Brand Brand Manager today.

Juanan, could you tell us a little about your professional career and is it for you to assume the reins of organizing a test of this prestige?

After 5 years as director of a multinational and after finishing the ESADE master's degree (PDD - Executive Development Program), I decided to leave everything and make my hobby my business. 5 years ago I set up a store specialized in Running Trail Running and Triathlon (Runnersworld TGN) and since 3 I started to professionalize in the organization of sporting events. The last two years I have led the EXTREME MAN of Salou and I think it has been a very fruitful experience for both parties. Hence, from this season I will be the Brand Manager of EM.

For me it is an injection of moral and motivation, a reward for my work passion and pride in turn, since being able to work on this project is an international challenge.

 

What is the difference between EXTREME MAN and other Media Distance tests?

EXTREME MAN is not only an event, it is a brand, a brand that consolidates itself as the medium distance triathlon brand. In which this year with 4 already events exceeding the 3000 people will bring a lot of added value.

EM cares for the triathlete since he enrolls until he returns home. EM transmits emotion and passion, we want to give a high emotional value to the participant, live an experience that you can never forget.

 

Any remarkable news for the 2013?

If a very important and that will differentiate us from the rest of events, but to discover it you must be Finishers! Only then will you discover the differences.

What are the long-term goals, new venues, international appointments ...?

Grow internationally and continue to satisfy our customers.

The tests organized by WIN SPORTS FACTORY (such as the EXTREME MAN circuit and the Wild Wolf TRIATHLON SERIES by Polar) have a very good reputation and acceptance in our sector, and maintaining that "cache" is already a goal in itself.

 

For what athlete are these tests designed? Who can do an EXTREME MAN?

To all active athletes who challenge themselves as a triathlon, but with a minimum of preparation. Eye an MD is not a Tri Sprint.

But with a good preparation and head, everything is arrived. If you want you can!
