Challenge Almere-Amsterdam European Long Distance Championship 2014

Almere hosts a European championship for the fifth time since it hosted the 1985,1991,1999 and 2006 years.

The ETU (European Triathlon Union) has announced that the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam will host the European Triathlon Championship in long distance format the next 13 of September of 2014.

Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is the 3º test of the franchise that hosts a championship, since previously they were selected Challenge Roth y Vichy Challenge

Renato Bertrandi ITU president comments: “I am happy to confirm that the executive committee has decided to continue Challenge in organizing long distance races. We have had great results in the last two years and this ensures success in the next races"

Challenge and the ETU, will continue hand in hand, as they are working to make  Majorca be the seat of Middle distance European Championship the 18 of October of 2014.
